Ecological sustainability is one of the two main benefits (with social equity) that should come from a sustainable economic degrowth.

The environment can no longer be affected by humankind. However, calling for the retreat of humans from lands is simply moving the problem to another place.

Redesign

Humankind should evolve in order to become compatible with environmental protection. Humans and ecosystems should learn to live together.
